Dear friends,

After many kilometers of zigzag trough beautiful mountains and over high passes of Pakistans Northern Area it’s truly time to say hello again. Tomorrow I will leave Gilgit towards the Chinese border. Before getting there I will cycle some more kilometers into adjacent valleys. Then, after some days of rest in Kasghi (China) my first flight on this trip will take place: Hong Kong is calling! This is the only place on earth to get long-term visas for China easily.

In terms of updates to my homepage: all new pics are online from page 2 onwards in the Pakistan II section. Any other detail has to wait since the IT structure and continuous power supply is a pain in the ass up here.

My motivation to keep on going is still strong and I’m eager to cycle all the thousands of kilometers to come, especially in Tibet.
